Past and Current Resident Info

Our residents are from a diverse background with a wide variety of experiences and interests.  Recent residents have graduated from Harvard, Tufts, Boston University, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, Albany, UMDNJ, the Universities of Vermont, Washington and Puerto Rico, as well as UMass Medical School.  Our program accepts applications from both allopathic and osteopathic physicians.

Recent program graduates have entered fellowships in pediatric anesthesthesiology at children's hospitals in Boston, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Washington, DC, and Oregon; pain management fellowships at the Brigham & Women's Hospital and the Universities of Louisville and Washington; and critical care fellowships at the University of Florida, Brigham & Women's Hospital, and our own institution.  Other recent graduates have joined thriving private practices throughout the country, as well as the staffs of academic institutions including Mass. General Hospital, Washington University. the Universities of Louisville, Tennessee, and Miami, the Medical College of Georgia, Bay State Medical Center, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Mt. Auburn Hospital, and Tampa General Hospital.

Ninety-eight percent of the graduates of our program have become board-certified in anesthesiology.
