Highlights
Trained 45 new medical interpreters for local hospitals and health centers.
Developed and implemented dozens of customized trainings for local hospitals, health centers, correctional facilities, schools and community based agencies on topics ranging from HIV/AIDS and Lupus, to cultural diversity and customer service.
Collaborated with local coalitions to implement local conferences, needs assessments, and other efforts to address regional health issues.
The Lower/Outer Cape Cod Coalition developed a collaborative relationship with the Rhode Island Geriatric Education Center and offered a training session on "googling" geriatrics in the fall of 2004.
Conducted Health Careers Summer Camp for middle school students which included
interactive opportunities to explore the world of health careers.
