Ethics

Ethical issues in research and treatment arise routinely for faculty and staff in the Department of Psychiatry in all aspects of our work: research, training / education, clinical, consultation, and administration. These issues may involve:


The Department has policies and procedures to assure that these issues are managed in a manner that is consistent with School and Clinical System policy, all applicable legal standards, as well as policies set by the AAMC, the APA, and other professional organizations. In addition, new issues and situations are raised that need to be evaluated and considered.
