Welcome to Primary Care Behavioral Health

All information for the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health's
Certificate Program in Primary Care Behavioral Health can be accessed here.

About

The Certificate Program in Primary Care Behavioral Health is a highly successful training endeavor for behavioral health professionals who wish to fill the gaps left by traditional mental health training in order to be successful practitioners in primary care settings. This training is particularly targeted to prepare behavioral health professionals for the Patient Centered Medical Home model. Participants can include primary care medical providers from their practice in the first workshop at no additional charge, preparing the team for the PCMH.

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health has been training mental health professionals to provide services in primary medical care settings for over 15 years. It launched the Certificate Program in January of 2007 and has trained hundreds of professionals since that date. Read what participants have to say about the program.
