Worcester Residency Celebrates 30 Years!

The Department celebrated the 30th anniversary of its first residency program graduation by hosting a reunion June 23-25, 2006 in Worcester. Residency graduates from over thirty years came together for a poignant, thought provoking, and nostalgic event. Highlights included a Friday night reception at the Worcester Art Museum, and keynotes on Saturday and Sunday mornings by G. Gayle Stephens and John Frey. A series of workshops was offered on both days, each facilitated by graduates representing three decades and focusing on common interests, including: Practice Challenges, Leadership in Family Medicine, Family Medicine Research, Education, Behavioral Science, Group Visits, Obstetrics and Maternity Issues, Osteopathic Manipulation in Practice, International Health, Spirituality in Practice, and Hospital Medicine. In addition, each of the Family Health Centers in the Worcester residency hosted terrific Saturday afternoon events, where graduates rekindled relationships with faculty and staff.
