Nurse Educator Post-Master’s Certificate

This Post-master’s Certificate option for nurse educators is an 11-credit program offered by the Graduate School of Nursing through UMass Online.  It is designed to meet the needs of the master’s-prepared nurse who desires formal education and teaching skills and strategies that address student, program and patient outcomes as well as leadership skills to improve health care.  Required courses include N620 (Teaching and Curriculum Development), N622 (Advanced Instructional Methods), N623 (Identifying and Measuring Outcomes) and N625 (Teaching Practicum).  These courses are available as both fully online (no face to face classes required except teaching practicum) or blended (mix of face to face and online learning).  All students enrolled in the Post-master’s certificate program will enroll for these courses through UMass Online.
