2 Step TST Policy Explanation
The 2 Step Tuberculin Skin Test (TST)
is required for all incoming UMASS students. The following is a detailed explanation of the policy. This form is included in the New student Admission packet that is mailed to you. However, it may be downloaded for your convenience. This form may be helpful to your PCP as they are filling out your health clearance forms if they are not familiar with the 2-Step process.

The Blood Borne Pathogen Policy
has been developed to minimize the risk of transmission of blood borne pathogens by individuals studying at the University. It explains the student’s responsibilities and our duty to provide a safe environment for both students and patients.

Hep B Protocol Explanation
The Hepatitis B Protocol
provides a detailed explanation of the procedure Student Health uses to determine an individual's risk for Hepatitis B. This protocol can be used by an incoming student’s healthcare provider as a guide if they are not familiar with the most current Hepatitis B clearance recommendations.
