Department of Cancer Biology Ranks Third in the Nation

In a recent Chronicle of Higher Education poll, the UMass Medical School's Department of Cancer Biology ranked third in the nation for faculty scholarly productivity.  The 2007 index conducted by the Chronicle of Higher Education compiles overall institutional rankings on 375 universities that offer the Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology.  Only Duke University and New York University ranked higher in the poll.  Since it's inception in 2002, and currently staffed with only 24 faculty members, the Department had an overall index score of 1.37 against all other programs in the country.
