UMass Medical School, in coordination with the UMass Building Authority, is programming, planning, designing and constructing new facilities on the Worcester campus that comprise the Albert Sherman Center and an academic resources building.
The Albert Sherman Center will be approximately 480,000 square feet and include wet research space, clean rooms, research core space and administrative space. Programs located in the Albert Sherman Center will include the UMMS Advanced Therapeutics Cluster, comprising the RNA Therapeutics Institute, Center for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and the Gene Therapy Center; the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences; and the Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation. Existing departments may also be located here.
