LC ESI MS


                                         
The Thermo LCQ Deca Ion Trap mass spectrometer was purchased with funds
from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 1999. This instrument couples a
nano HPLC directly to an electrospray ion trap mass spectrometer to facilitate
peptide pre fractionation prior to MS and MS/MS analysis. This instrument is used
for the identification of more complicated mixtures of proteins as well as some of
their modifications
