Analytical Core
The Analytical Core performs a high-throughput measurement of serum and tissue levels of hormones, metabolites and cytokines that are known to affect metabolism.
- Measures serum and tissue levels of hormones (insulin, leptin, adiponectin), cytokines (TNF-a, IL-6, IL-1) and chemokines (MCP, MIP, VEGF) using Luminex (photo).
- Measures serum and tissue levels of metabolites (lipid and hepatic panel) and electrolytes using Cobas Clinical Chemistry Analyzer.
- Performs standardized biochemical procedures to measure intracellular metabolism in individual organs.
- Performs complex molecular procedures to assess intracellular signaling pathway associated with insulin, metabolism and inflammation.
