On July 26, 2007 at the UMass Boston Club, Dr. Arthur Like and Dr. Edward Leiter were honored for their contributions to the study of diabetes. Both Drs. Like and Leiter developed animal models that are invaluable for efforts seeking to understand the pathogenesis of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The event included a scientific symposium and celebratory dinner.
