The Human Embryonic Stem Cell (hESC) Core Facility  provides human ES cells to researchers at the UMASS Medical School, Amherst, Boston, Lowell and Dartmouth campuses. Currently we maintain two NIH approved human embryonic stem cell lines, H1 (WA01) and H9 (WA09), obtained from WiCell Institute of the University of Wisconsin.  Each line was derived from individual blastocysts.

A complementary Core at UMASS-Amherst provides murine stem cells.
