    1. ERAS Application.
    2. Must have completed an ACGME-certified internal medicine residency prior to starting fellowship.

Applicants who are currently on H or J visas are welcome to apply.  However, we do not initiate the visa application process for those who do not already have a visa.

All application materials must be received by August 15, 2013.  Interviews take place in September and October.

Where to fellows perform their rotations?

The vast majority of time is spent at the main UMass campus, known as the University campus, in Worcester.  Fellows spend one month at a community hospital located 20 miles north of Worcester and at least two weeks studying advanced heart failure at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Are there options for further training at UMass?

UMass has one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowships in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.  Fellows at UMass who wish to stay for a fourth year of training will usually spend a large portion of their third year in sub-speciality training.  The interventional and EP fellowships are also available to physicians who have completed a three-year general cardiology fellowship elsewhere.
