Joan Fleishman, PsyD
First Year Primary Care Psychology Fellow
Family Health Center of Worcester
Joan grew up in Maine and received her BA in psychology and Spanish from Prescott College in Arizona in 2005. She recently earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Oregon with a focus in health psychology and culturally competent treatment. She completed her clinical internship at St. James Hospital in Chicago on the consultation/liaison service.

She has particular interest in health behavior change, diabetes management, weight loss, and culturally competent treatment. Joan has spent time studying and working in Mexico and Costa Rica. She conducts her clinical practice in both Spanish and English. During her free time you can find Joan exploring the outdoors, cooking, or spending time with her family.

Jeanna Spannring, PhD
First Year Primary Care Psychology Fellow

Jeanna is our newest Behavioral Science Post Doctoral Fellow! She grew up in Montana and received her BA in psychology and philosophy from St. Catherine University in Minnesota in 2001. She recently earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University with a focus in child and family therapy and evidence-based practice for the treatment of traumatic stress.

She completed her clinical internship at Colorado West Mental Health outpatient in Grand Junction, CO where she successfully conducted a pilot study of a protocol for the treatment of chronic pain. Jeanna enjoys watching and playing team sports as well as cooking and baking in her free time. Jeanna will be in the health center most days of the week; she will have open appointments starting in October.

David Trotter, PhD
First Year Primary Care Psychology Fellow
Barre Family Health Center
David earned a BS in psychology at The University of Arizona. He earned an MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University. David also completed his pre-doctoral internship training at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

David's clinical and research interests include the treatment of comorbid medical and mental heath issues, including nicotine dependence and chronic pain. He is also interested in developing interdisciplinary training programs to teach health care providers effective behavior change techniques.
