The Winter Ball

Winter Ball 1

In celebration of the partnership between the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Health Care, this year the Winter Ball will be held on December 5, 2014 at Mechanics Hall in Worcester. This premier fundraising gala for Central Massachusetts is a joint and volunteer-driven, philanthropic event for our academic health sciences center to raise funds in support of the lifesaving mission.

Through the generous efforts of our committed volunteers, the Winter Ball is a truly spectacular and successful evening, and we look forward to welcoming back our sponsors from last year, as well as welcoming new sponsors for 2014. Sponsorship opportunities feature benefits that showcase your organization’s brand and communicate your values and
willingness to help care for the community. A range of sponsorship packages are available. Click here for more information about these packages.  See last year's ad in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette here.

The UMass Medicine Cancer Walk - Sept. 28, 2014

 Cancer Walk

The UMass Medicine Cancer Walk is the largest, single-day fundraising event in Central Massachusetts benefiting the UMass Memorial Cancer Center of Excellence at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Funds raised support cutting-edge research and wide-ranging preventive and behavioral studies to provide advanced cancer care to oncology patients. The center integrates some of the most vital cancer research and treatment activities available today. The Center encourages innovative collaborations and actively promotes the development of projects dedicated to bringing the work of the bench to the bedside. To date, the five mile walk-a-thon has raised over $8 million enabling cutting edge cancer research, bringing us one step closer to finding a cure. The 2014 event also featured a 5k race for the first time, as part of the fundraising avenues.
